It did not even begin to answer my questions about why Nevada, which doesn't have a single nuclear reactor, is being singled out to receive the nuclear payload for the entire nation. It treats Yucca Mountain as a done deal, with no alternative sites or contingency plans. It doesn't address the problem of transport. Just how do we expect to safely transport 70,000 tons of high-level nuclear waste over the nation's interstates and railways? How will we get it there? Do people across the nation really understand the implications of having high-level nuclear waste whizzing past their back fence and traveling alongside them on the interstate? The Environmental Impact Statement is a 1,400 page conclusion in search of a reason, and I will never accept forcing Nevada to become the nation's nuclear junkyard." M# PRINTED ON RECYCLED PAPER
