If proposed renewal should be approved all old mains will have been replaced except three-inch wrot iron line serving Blocks 37, 38, 39, 40. (Refer to correspondence beginning September 27, 1921, in/your f^ile L-106.). C-- Reported to !/r. Calvin as complete on July 23, 1924. Life of mains*seems to be about 15 years, tho it is possible to prolomg this slightly with frequent shut-downs for repairs.
