Dear sirs: I understand that an appropriation has been made to ( f I cover the construction of a rooming house at Caliente, at 'yj ? y % Milford and at Lynn, total cost to be about §7,500.00 each, I should like to call your attention to the condition at Las Vegas. Trainmen have tents located in different parts of the town,- some of them on lots owned by individuals and scene on company property. The general appearance of Las Vegas has been very much improved within the past year; a number of very nice looking houses have been built. The tents occupied by the trainmen do not Improve but rather detract from the general appearance of the town. These tents are only occupied by them during intervals between trains when the trainmen are laying over at Las Vegas. If it is considered advisable to put up houses for their accommodation at Lynn, Milford and Caliente, it would
