June 18, 1953 relative to determination of ownership of various buildings located on Las Vegas Ranch as indicated on blue print attached to your letter. Mr. u. H. Johnson ~ Los Angeles We have made a study of the information contained in our file and have been unable to determine the ownership of buildings shown on print but have contacted Mr* A, M« Folger and he advises that the only buildings on the ranch which are owned by the Las Vegas Land and Water Company are those which are now occupied by the present lessees which I have indicated on the map as Las Vegas Land and Water Ccmpanys. With regard to the store building adjacent to Fifth Street which Is now occupied by Mr. C. W* Wilcox and which is to be removed from the proposed new Fifth Street right of way, 1 contacted Mr. Wilcox and he stated that this building was owned by W* T. Stewart, Vernon Bunker and Earl Leavitt and furnished me with a copy of Bill of Sale dated January 30, 1943 under which w, T. Stewart, Vernon Bunker and Earl Leavitt acquired ownership to this building. Copy of Bill of 3ale is attached* I am also attaching copy of Promissory Note dated February 1, 19^3 under which payment was made for the buildings covered by Bill of Sale.
