s W-35-1 las Vegas, Nevada, February 12, 1929* Mr* R.L.Adamson, Chief Engineer, Los Angeles. Dear Sirs The following items of information regarding the water supply at las Vegas are requested in the Auditor's letter LV-16 of January 31, for use in compiling the annual report to the Nevada Public Service Commission for the year 1928• 5. SOURCE OF WATER SUPPLY- Our understanding is that an artesian well and two springs flowed into the settling basin last year. 6. MAXIMUM WATER SUPPLY- To be estimated from an average of the periodical measurements made by the Engineering Department. 7. TOTAL WATER PUMPED OR DIVERTED FROM STREAM- This is seemingly applicable to Las Vegas Creek, the flow of which is separately measured at intervals. 8. TOTAL WATER SOLD OR METERED- This will be the sum of your meter readings at Main and Clark Streets and the readings at the Old Town intake. {The flow of Las Vegas Creek is not regarded as sold inasmuch as it is used for irrigating the Company Ranch) 9* TOTAL WATER UNACCOUNTED FOR- None, as all water passing thru our mains is presumed to be used by the consumers* 10. TOTAL CUBIC FEET OF WATER PURCHASED {PREVIOUS ESTIMATE BASED ON 3.56 CU.FT• A SECOND, OR 831,737,770 GALLONS A M1SE11 YEAR)- This will be the same as Item No. 8. Yours truly. cos Mr. C.C.Barry {K~200) Walter R, Bracken, Vice President and Agent. s
