It is not practical to extend this new main from the existing reservoir, and to accomplish the purpose it is proposed to construct a new settling basin and reservoir, diverting water from several of the wells thereto* constructing booster pumps at the reservoir, and constructing 10,480 ft. of 24* water main from the reservoir to a connection with the present distribution system at its southerly extremity, all in location as indicated upon the attached print and Involving an expenditure of $203,840. We consider this project essential to protect the wartime demands of this community. As of June 1, 1945, payroll of the various industries was 1,842, an increase of 808 over February 1 of the same year. We have asked Hr.
