Adam8on) In connection w it h study of State permits for ap­propriation of water from wells at Las Vegas, Nevada, Mr. Ren-wick has r a is e d the question as to whether the so-called "Shop Well*, located in Railroad Company shop grounds near Round House, eould be u tilized to f i l l R. R. Co. requirements in event the Las Vegas Water D istrict takes over the existing R* R. Co. transmission mains. The following data on Shop Well and flow through meters is submitted for consideration! (1) Shop Well requires a pump. Measurement on January 8, 1950, indicates a flow of 501 OPM, or 433,400 GPD when pumping into top of water softener with 25# pressure at pump, or 65# pressure at pump when pumping against a closed valve, th is flow would, no doubt, decrease substantially with continued use since th is well had not been used for several months prior to above measurement.
