JBr* 0* 0* Barry: I hare today had two Oregon Short Line vouchers issued fo r pur­chase o f land and water righ ts near Bryce Canyon and charged the amount thereof to the Los Angeles & Salt Lake Bailroad Company. One voucher is in favor o f the Wrepio & Bast Fork Irrigation Company fo r #1,500.00 and the other is in favor of William J . Henderson, J r. fo r #2,500.00. She in - ter-company h ills show a ll the d e ta ils and give a description o f the properties purchased. She purchase o f these properties was suta&itted to Mr. Gray fo r approval, and on December 17th, 1925, ho wired me in part as follow s: "I now approve your proceeding with the purchase o f the land and water righ ts as recommended fo r the amount o f #4,000." It was necessary te draw Oregon Short Line vouchers as the op­tion to purchase expires Larch 1st (next Monday) and there was in su fficie n t time to make payment through, the usual channels.
