Walker, Supt., Techatticup Mine, Nelson, Clark County, Nevada. Dear Sir:- We are in receipt of your two favors of March 20th, and beg to state that we are working to find suitable men for the positions you expect to have vacant shortly. We desire to submit herewith the name and application of Mr. John Jefferson, age thirty, single, in deferred class on draft (he is informed by his board that he will not be called for service as his heart is bad, inside of a year, if then). Mr. Jefferson is a thoroughly good assayer and technical man, and has had six years experience and after reading your letter to him stated that he could handle the work easily. He is a man of pleasing personality and we believe would meet your requirements in every respect. He is in a position to leave immediately on receipt of word from you, and in case you want him would advise that you let us know at your early convenience, as men of this character move rapidly these days when there is such a shortage all around. We are expecting to get in touch with a cyanide operator for you and shall communicate with you within the next day or so.
