f 1 ? - July 13, 1904. 60-A Dr. J.K.W.Bracken, Baa Yegas, Bevada. atiSPENSE Dear Sir:- I have your letter of the £7ill ult. relative to the vacquAroa employed on the ranch. Bote carefully what you say in regard to the matter, hut, as stated in my letter of the 21st, it is absolutely necessary that we cut down expenses of the Las Yegas Ranch, and get them down to the lowest minimum possible, and to that end, you will have to get along at all times with but one vacquiro to look after the cattle. I also uhderstand you have a’carpenter, teamstejft and gardener employed on the ranch. We do not care to make any improvements on the ranch houses or anything in that line at present, so advise that you cut out the expense of the carpenter and gardener, and will have to get along without the teamster. It seems to me, also, with the amount of work that has to be done on the ranch, that you can also get along very nicely without a foreman* On receipt of this, kindly advise_me that these matters are thoroughly understood and you have carried out my instructions as above stated. Very truly yours,.
