Steps should be taken without delay to put a control valve on the w ell so as to avoid a waste of water or any de-pletion of the artesian b e lt. A great portion of the water now flowing from the well is not applied to any ben eficial use and cannot be u n til the land upon which i t is intehded to be applied is cleared and leveled fo r cropping purposes.
