Los Angeles, December 1, 1926* 20-6 Mr* B# L* Adamson: Confirming our ‘phone conversation and our Inspection of the Las Vegas water facilities some time ago: We should consider early in next year entirely renewing the line from the spring to oonorete reservoir at well* As this line is on no regular grade and is laid with oonorete pipe, which is badly choked up and broken in several places, it would be ray idea to lay an entirely new line on a regular grade in place of the present line, using 12", or possibly 18”, vitrified clay pipe* Second item was to renew in kind the first stretch of old 16” wood stave pipe outside the Shop grounds to a junction with the new 16” wood stave pipe laid last year, as this has failed badly and it did not appear same could safely be carried over another year* Mr* Braoken has advised me that a new addition has recently been opened at Las Vegas which will require considerable water and, as you know, plana are practically complete for a new hotel at Las Vegas, which will also be a heavy water user, and unless these repairs and renewals are made early next year we may be faced with serious water shortage and, therefore, work should be done as early as possible after the first of the year* H* C* Mann •jjx-vfcA
