V Las Vegas Evening Review Journal Las Vegas, Nevada May 6, 1942 City To Buy Land For Cemetery Here The purchase of 10 acres of land adjacent to the Woodlawn cemetery was approved by the city board last night, upon recommendation of the city-sanitary board of which Henry S. Deadrich is chairman. The land is the property of the Las Vegas Laeid and Water company and will be bought for $300 per acre. | CITY ACQUIRES LAND The city board last night voted to sign an agreement for the donation of five acres of land by the Las Vegas Land and Water company to the city for use in construction of the new city disposal plant. Charles R. “Pat” Clark, sewer commissioner, reported that the site had been ap-! proved by government engineers1 on the new sewer project for the city.
