I A Las Vegas - December 16, 19$8 R 2-29 Mr. A. 0. Ritter: from time to time, the Standard Oil representatives have approaQhed us regarding a new sit© for their bulk plant operations in Las Vegas, partly because of the 01ty ordinance governing firs protection of such plants, and partly because they have insufficient room for expansion on their South Main Street lease. today, Cleese Turner, Las Vegas manager, Supt. Smith of the Bakersfield division and Mr. Redfce, their engineer, Called at the office and expressed a wish to cryst&llze their plans so construction could be started early in the coming year, as they have included in their budget? an item to oover new office building and storage tanks. I advised them if they would definitely decide which location would be their choice I would submit their application to you for approval, and they were unanimous in asking for a 250* by 2?0* site in the proposed new West Bonanza Road traot, immediately west of the site we have in mind for the new City b ams. Will be glad to have your advice. If this proposed location is approved, the Standard Oil will of course relinquish their South Main Street site for other shippers requiring Main Street frontage. A.
