Notice of the 
Elephant Mine
We the undersigned do this day locate and claim fifteen hundred feet on this the Elephant lead lode or deposit of gold and silver bearing rock and ore in place. North three hundred feet on each side of [not legible] for working purposes.
Commencing at the monument upon which this notice is placed and extending seven hundred and fifty feet in an Easterly direction and seven hundred and fifty feet in a Westerly direction. 
This mine was formerly worked by Boyd [not legible] was not located [not legible] recorded and is East of the Wall Street mine.
We claim all privileges allowed by El Dorado District Laws and the U.S. mineral Laws El Dorado Canyon [not legible] [not legible] Lincoln County [not legible] [not legible] Nevada James [not legible]
