Both Judge King and Governor Spry were very much elated over the successful operation of the well and urged the settlers strongly to install wells, secure water and irrigate just as much land as possible. The writer believes that as a result of this trip" there will be more permanent development in that section. More than 100 farmers were present at the meeting and at the conclusion of the addresses expressed their confidence in the country and determination to succeed. The unusual rainfall this season has resulted in splendid crops and the farmers, as a result, feel very hopeful for the future. Favorable comment relative to the visit of the party was made by the Beaver County News in its issue of July 24th, extracts of which are herewith appended.
