WO 5406: Retired tract of land containing an area of 507 acres and improvements thereon consisting of water supply facilities at Las Vegas account sold to Las Vegas Land and Water Co. R&E $$30,599.66 (Cr) WO S-3441: Constructed booster pumping station at Charleston Blvd. Reservoir, Las Vegas, consisting of tank, pipe lines, pumping equipment, power and other necessary appurtenances as follows: Erected 300,000 gallon capacity steel water tank on 100 ft* tower by Chicago Bridge and Iron Go. in accordance with Contract NLD 2594 dated September 25, 1952. Constructed concrete foundations for tank tower involving 203 cu. yds. of excavation in solid rock and 51 cu. yds. in natural ground which was performed by Morrison-Knudsen Co. Contract NLD 25$6 and 2672. Constructed 2473 ft. of 14" water line and 60 ft. of 10“ water line to connect with existing Las Vegas Land & Water Co. line involving 1440.7 cu. yds. of excavation also necessary overflow valves and piping. Construct 2522.5 ft. of additional power destribution lines involving 46 cu. yds. of excavation for poles and install three transformers 75 KVA 2400 to 4$0 x 240 volts with 2 1/2/6 taps. Installed two Wentroath pumps Nos. 705$ and 7059* vertical turbine type, encased booster pumps, type SKA 2-12, 3 stage 14-900 pump with 2-100 HPGE electric motors Nos. 6949033 and 6949490 model 5K6533VASA, 440 volts, 60 cycle, 3 phase, 1$00 RFM, normal torque low starting current, pump encased in 20" O.S. Steel case, 3* $i" center of inlet to face of case flange suction inlet 12” sta. plain ends, 2 angle brackets needed on side of case at bottom with bolt holes 26" 0D, all per Wentroath DWG XR-279. Installed necessary panel control boards, starters, circuit breakers, relays, etc.
