    i*as Vega a - Beeember 1, 1948 ¥ 2 5 In connection with recent examination by Travel­ing Accountants of the Lae Vegas Office of the IVL&tf Oo., Auditor directs our attention to the following: “The incumbent of position described as “Checker* on the payroll is assigned to dally field Inspections to maintain the inventory of existing water service data on a current basis, also to record similar data for addition­al and new services, uses M s privately owned automobile* The public liability insurance he carries, however, is H a l t e d to §5800*— $10000., and does not include the Water Company as co-lnsured. This feature is, therefore, called to your attention for consideration and such handling as may be appropriate.* It appeal's desirable to Increase the Insurance coverage to 010/20/5000 and to Include others than the named Insured as outlined in Mr. Barnes F. Cox,s letter to all officers, dated October 7, 1944. If you concur, will you kindly request authority for us to make allowance for use of privately owned automobile used by Checker Lenard E. Gardner at the same rate in effect for Railroad employes, which I believe is 7^ per mile, and I will ar­range for Mr. Gardner to take cut a policy in the prescribed limits. Based on mileage cheek we conducted, the cost would be about $25*00 to $30,00 per month. The cost of premiums, which.
