Misunderstanding - Actions of feo. Zettler - Water Sate engineer, las Vegas, in regard to his activity in connection with the water rate at this point and he advises one of his neighbors told him that there was to he a meeting held by the various property owners and this neighbor ashed him to accompany him to this meeting* Mr Zettler was not aware at the time he started to the meeting what it was for. After arriving he heard the discussion among those attending and claims not to have taken any part in the discussion and was not active in any way in regard to the matter* He is well-satisfied with the rate for water he is using at his home and does not feel the charge is excessive or would be if it were increased to the rate proposed* He states a petition was circulated but not by himself osr any members of his family* It was presented to his wife at his home during his absence and she signed it protesting the rate* Had he known the petition was being circulated he would have requested his wife not to sign it and this request would have been followed. Mr Zettler advised me there would be no activity on his part in regard to the rate and he would see none of his people were involved in any activity that would bring about any adverse criticism* las Vegas May 23 1931 4.210.
