I received your message stating that you would arrange to have the survey made as requested* I also note your reference to the election of Mr* Galvin in Mr. Seger's place, which would leave us without a qourum in New York. In talking about this matter on Monday Mr. Lovett was of the opinion that there was really no necessity for committee meetings here, that whatever he and I would agree upon we would authorize you to have the instructions confirmed by the Board of Directors at the next regular meeting. He even went further than that and stated that he would leave me with authority to decide any important matters that may be referred to me during his absence, and that the same could be corroborated by the Board of Directors I sent him over copy of your message and will bear what he has to say* Your affectionate brother,
