Los Angeles, July 23> 1953 8 0 - 1 2 Mr. V. W. Smith: (cc - Mr. L. R. Maag with copies of enclosures) Mr. Stoddard has advised Mr. Reinhardt that the deed and bill of sale covering the conveyance and transfer of 507 Acres of water-bearing land and the water production, storage and distribution facilities at Las Vegas, Nevada, of the Los Angeles & Salt Lake Railroad Company to Union Pacific Railroad Company have been executed and dated Ju­ly 1 7 , 1953s and that the deed and bill of sale from Union Pacific Railroad Company to Las Vegas Land and Water Com­pany have been executed and dated July 1 8 , 1953i also that agreement between Los Angeles & Salt Lake Railroad Company, Union Pacific Railroad Company and Las Vegas Land and Wa­ter Company providing for the delivery of water by the Las Vegas Land and Water Company to the Railroads until the Railroads are able to complete the rearrangement of their own water facilities in the shop grounds at Las Vegas,Ne­vada, will be executed and delivered August 1st and made effective on^that date. I do not have all of the details of execution of these documents so I am unable to supply you with com­pletely conformed copies. However I am sending you un­conformed copies of the deeds, bills of sale and the contract above mentioned so that you will be fully in­formed as to the terms of the transfer. E. E.
