Deadline for entries for the Miss Houston Pageant is June 22, with preliminaries July 6 and 7 at the Western Skies Motel, 7806 Katy Road. The pageant is a quest for the most attractive and talented young ladies in Houston, who can meet the official Miss America requirements. Miss Houston will compete for the Miss Texas title in Kerrville in August, Winner of that competition goes on to Atlantic City, N. J,, in September for the Miss America Pageant.
