Campbell, President Las Vegas Valley Water District 135 South Fo u r t h Street Las Vegas, Nevada Dear Mr. Campbell: I would very much appreciate it if the District would give consideration to requesting the Citv Commissioners to establish as of May 1, the water rationing program which was so effective last year. As vou know the production of water in Las Vegas has not materially increased over last year although'there has been some increase due to the installation of our larger pumps. ou are also aware of the 3,000 new residences built in the city during the last year and a large number of commercial establishments. It is obvious that in spite of our proposed plan to drill new wells that the water situation will be very tight from now until those wells are brought on production and turned into our system, which I believe the engineers say will be a m a t t e r of 60 days. Under the circumstances, in order to assure an equitable distribution of water and conserve so far as possible the existing wa t e r supply, I would appreciate it if the District would formally request the City Commissioners to put in effect as of May 1, the water rationing program that was in effect last year. Very sincerely yours, E. E. B. APR 20 1951 E. F. Dennett General Solicitor
