Dear S ir :- Referring to our conversation when you passed through * the other evening, concerning a b a ll ground* I offered the boys a suitable ground fo r a b a ll fie ld and following the policy a l­ways established by our company, X refused to give any lease on the ground, but they want a fiv e to ten year lease. This in my opinion might in terfere very m aterially with any deal which might come up between Bucks Addition and us or between us and others. And they would want to pay only a nominal sum say $1.00 per year, so they remarked that as Mr.Manderfield had been w riting here about base b a ll they would lik e to take i t up with him and see i f they could secure the necessary lease. I told them that was a l l right but advised that they write you direct. Should they do sc I wish you would kindly keep me advised of your wishes in the matter and we w ill try and have the deal settled to suit our company. Tours truly.
