Scott Secretary Public Service Commission Careen City, Ssv&da Scar heel As you know, we arc now extending water wains to Bonanza Village Tract under our usual Buie 9-A arrangement with W&ale, Caspian A Tiberti, the subdivides, and expect to. take ever service to that tract in the next month or six weeks* One of the new services we will inherit includes a private •sinning pool which has heretofore been served by a well, feat winnow be served from the city mains, and question arises as to proper rate to apply* Our present rate schedule provides a charge of 130*00 per nonth of 5000 cubic feet capacity or lees and this seems fair and equitable for & Conner** cial type swimming pool which accomodates a large number of people and for which a per capita charge is made* However, it seems rather high for & private pool used by no one but the consumers family* Tf*« pool la question is approximately 20 x ho feet psl assuming an average of 5 feet deep, the pool would hold hOOQ cubic feet or about 30,000 gallons* Re­capture device ie used and chlorine added to keep the water clear, X had in mind an arrangement of special con­tract to cover this service, which ie permitted under our regulations, and will appreciate your suggestions as tc a rate that would be fair and equitable to both the consumer and the Water Company, have no doubt similar situations exist is Reno and X will appreciate it if you will let me know what is charged there for private swimming pools* Very truly yours, General Manager
