Connecting gas mains with company houses. / 1 Los Angeles, Cal,, April 18, 1912, Mr.* W ,H .Bancroft, Mr,J*Rcgs Clark, Executive Committee, Lear Sirs.# In accordance with the suggestion made By Mr .Clark, I have had Agent Bracken make a canvass of the company houses at Lag Vegas, and he writes* "It looks to me very doubtful if there will "be more than one who will &ave gas put in, and this one is lucky enough to have in his possession a gas range, People who are living In these company houses that have lived at Long Beach, Los Angeles, Pasadena and other places, seem to think that the price of |2,00 per thousand is very exorbitant, as most of them when using gas have "been paying from 65 cents to 85 cents, and at that price, even though w® were toninstall the ranges, a great many of them say they would not use gas. Blue flame oil stoves and gasoline stoves, they claim, are much cheaper," I have, therefore, written Mr,frank Clark, President of the Consolidated Pwwer & telephone Company, as per copy of letter enclosed herewith,
