    5. Last year [not legible] school again it is not likely that any of them were badly injured or mutilated in their fights. 6. The ration is small and should be increased by the addition of beans, sugar and coffee. In conclusion I have the honor to state that I will do all in my power to get this turbulent tribe into harmony with my school. I have started out to get 25 of their children in school. By my efforts in this direction I have already made many of them my enemies (as per this complaint of buwarrows) and will make many more, but nevertheless I hope to succeed. Yours very respectfully S.M. McCowan
