Water Supply - Sales and Revenue: las Vegas * December 10, 1936. W 23-3-5 Mr* <J. F. Ashby, Assistant to Executive Dos Angeles, California .Vice President, My dear Mr. Ashby: Referring to our conversation last evening with reference to water sales made by the las Vegas land n*»<i Water Company during the current year: I attach hereto a comparative statement of water sales for the first eleven months of 1935 and. the corresponding months of 1936, these figures being taken from the Auditor’s Form 7 so far as available. Please note there has been a decrease of #1153.08 in revenue, and 4,935,127 cubic feet of water sold, during this period. Effective November 1, 1935, we discontinued wholesaling water to the Boulder Dam Syndicate. The Syndicate formerly purchased water from us "on a wholesale basis for the purpose of supplying the addition south of Charleston Boulevard in the town of Das Vegas, and last November (1935) they installed their own well and discontinued securing water from us. There is also attached a statement showing monthly revenues received from the Syndicate during 1935 up until the time sales were discontinued. Daring the first ten months of 1936, the decrease from this source alone was #1450.35, which more than accounts for the decrease in our total revenues over this period. Our retail sales for the year a e about the same as last year,— in fact they show an increase of |B46*25 for the first ten months.
