Knickerbocker, General Manager, Los Angeles, C aliforn ia; Lear S ir : Replying to your inquiry October 6th regarding decrease in cubic feet of water sold and revenue from sale, fo r f i r s t eight months of this year: I attach hereto a comparative statement of water sales for the f i r s t eight months of 1935 and the corresponding months of 1936. You w ill note there has been a decrease of $1,118.59 in revenue, but only 437,- 881 cubic feet of water, sold for this period. Effective November 1, 1935, we discontinued wholesaling water to the -Boulder Lam Syndicate. There is also attached a statement showing monthly revenues received from the Syndicate during 1935 up un til the time sales were discontinued. Luring the f i r s t eight months of 1936, the decrease from this source alone was $1153.95, whieh more than accounts for the decrease in our total sales over this period. Our commercial sales for the year are about the same as la s t year,— in fact they show a sligh t increase. While we d islik e to lose the revenue of $145 per month which we formerly received from the Boulder Lam Syndicate, it may have been fortunate fo r us that this company discontinued securing water from us when they did; as you w ill r e c a ll, on June 21st of this year Las Yegas - October 8th, 1936, W 83-3-5 O F j '?/
