R, Rouse Mr, C, M, Bates) The proposed Escrow Instructions between the Railroads, the water Company and the Las Vegas Wa­ter District for the sale of the Las Vegas water system to the District provide that the water sys­tem shall be conveyed to the District upon the sale date subject to state, county and city taxes for the year 1954, but that all similar taxes for years prior thereto have been paid, I understand that the fourth installment of 1953 taxes would .. not normally be paid until some time after July 1st, which is the.present tentative closing date for the escrow. So that we can comply with the * Escrow Instructions will you please authorize Mr, Bates to pay prior to the close of escrow all un­paid 1953 taxes upon the property to be conveyed to ’the District in the escrow.
