Las Vegas Review Jo u m al-JIay 2, 19 5 1 Water Directors Ready Mead Plans Las Vegas valley water dis­trict board ' o f directors are scheduled to meet this after­noon to map plans for the prose­cution of the program to bring water into the valley, it was re­ported today by Thomas Camp­bell, chairman. .With Lake Mead water prac­tically assured by the general services administration approv­al of the purchase of the pump­ing plant and other facilities at Henderson, for $1, the program is moving rapidly toward a climax, Campbell said, and the board will be brought up to date on the progress, and plans made for the future. It is expected that a meeting of representatives of the district Land and Water company will be held in the next week or 10 days, looking toward a possible purchase of the distribution facil­ities in the city of Las Vegas.
