Bennett Supplementing my mailgram last night on meeting with City Commissioners concerning proposed abrogation of the present sprinkling restrictions. The meeting called for 3 was attended hy about 75 people. Mayor Cragin asked me to introduce the discussion and X explained to those assembled question of cancelling the ordinance had come up lor decision and the Commissioners wished to have some expression from the people themselves. I pointed out that although there was some inconvenience by reason of low pressures between 6 P.M. and 8 P.M., this was more than offset by the advantage of fire protection and adequate pressures in the business district; however, the Water Company was ready to do anything the people wished and the decision would be-up to the Commissioners. Commissioner Bunker then read a prepared statement, a. portion outlined in attached clipping, but ending up with the suggestion that the City purchase the utility and that a Committee - * ----- -?«-- This wa sb e doanpepointed to recommend new hours of sprinkling* and the following were selected: WM . R MG 14 Fred Pine - Builder J. F. Hassett - Sub-Divider Mrs. H. Gravelle - Housewife Otto Underhill - Water Dist, Harry Miller - Water List. Thereafter the meeting adjourned and the Committee will recommend new hours to the City Commissioners. A. M. Folger
