Bennett’s air-mall letter of April 19th; As requested, I am enoloeing copy of 3.3302 and 3.3303# introduced by Senator McOarran on April lhth, pro- riding for Federal grant of public lands in Clark County, Nevada, for rights-of-way of new water lines to Henderson and Basle Management, Inc. These bills were referred to the Senate Committee on Interior and Insular Affairs. Senator McOarran announced on April 15th (copy of hie press release attached) that he has asked the Secretary of the Interior and Senator Hugh Butler, Chairman of the Committee, for “speedy" action. I am also enclosing copy of S.3332, Introduced by Senator MoCarran yesterday, providing for the conveyance of certain public lands to the City of Henderson. The Senator s remarks when he introduced this bill were clipped from the Congressional Reoord and are enclosed. This bill is apparently not directly related to the right-of-way bills, but I am sending it along because it may be of interest. We will watoh these bills olosely and keep you advised of their progress. nch&rd
