Sbanghnesay: -3- 3«pt, 26. 1934. than is the Union Pacific depot at Las Vegas, and letter stated also that 220 acres of water hearing land owned by the City at about l£ miles further distance out from town than said reservoir is about 200 feet higher than said Union Pacific depot. The Gity has one artesian well 7 - 5/8 inch diameter continuously flowing over 40 miners inches of water, but not used by city. The Las Vegas Lund and Water Company artesian well is 16 inches diameter. I figure that the City could readily drill sev­eral other wells of large diameter on their same land, the same as the City of Ogden, Utah, did for their City Water Works System on about a 20 acre area, though Ogden owns much more than the 20 acres at their head of water works system.
