July 6, 1904. 60~A Dr. J.K.W.Bracken, Das Ye gas P.0., Dlnoolu Co.» levada. Dear Sir I hay© your letter of the 30th ult., from which I note that an Arizona cattle outfit has moved into the valley ?/ith a hunch of cattle.and that there is a possibility they may attempt to rustle some of the cattle belonging to the ranch. Ehere is hardly anything to he done in this matter but keep a sharp lookout, ascertaining as closely as possible the number of cattle they have in their bunch and keep track of what they butcher and the number they drive away with them. It might be well, also, to ascertain, if possible, if all their cattle are branded and whether any of the brands are~ fresh. If they are not, and they drive out of the country with cattle bearing fresh brands, think it would be well to investigate and find out where they secured the cattle* this is a matter that you, being on the ground, can work out as circumstances warrant. Very truly yours, W (
