Reinhardt - Los Angeles Attached please find letter from American * Red Gross dated March 4, 1954, to Las Vegas Land and Water Company, requesting a contribution toward the Red Cross Quota for 1954 of #50,000.00 and 12,000 members. My file indicates that a similar request was made in the year 1948 as indicated in letter from Mr. A. M. Folger to Mr. Frank Strong dated March 25, 1948, file W 5-4-2, but that this request for contribution was turned down. I have no information as to whether other public utilities are contributing to the Red Cross for year 1954, although Mr. Folger*s letter of March 25, 1948, indicated that at that time the Power Company contributed $500.00 and the Telephone Company $250. 00. If you feel that the Water Company should contribute to the 1954 Fund, please advise the amount of contribution recommended and arrange for voucher to cover. L. R. Maag Attachment LRMilm
