Notice is hereby given that I the undersigned do hereby locate and claim fifteen hundred (1500) feet for mining purposes on this Load, Lode, or Ledge or deposit of Gold and Silver bearing rock and or to for known and described as the 


Rising [not legible] Gold and Silver Mine [not legible] at this monument upon which this notice is placed, and mining [not legible] hundred (1400) feet in a [westerly] direction on and along said Ledge, Lode, or Said or deposit of Gold and Silver [not legible] rock and ore and including three hundred (300) feet on each side thereof for Mining purposes, & Inland to hold and work said [claim?] and Mining ground in accordance with the Mining Laws of the United States [approved?] May 10th 1881 and in accordance with the Mining Laws of El Dorado [not legible] Mining District Said mine is situated in El Dorado [not legible] Mining District, about one mile and a half in an Easterly direction from what is known as the John [not legible] Spring.
