SAN PEDRO, LOS ANGELES AND SALT LAKE RAILROAD CO. LAS VEGAS, LINCOLN CO, NEVADA. 14 Dec., 1904 Mr. J. Ross Clark. V.P. Los Angeles, Calif. Dear Sir- We have such a gang of toughs here and they are committing so many depredations that I think it absolutely necessary to have a paid watchman. We have a very good Dep. Sheriff here that gets $50.00 per mo. from the county. Today I am going to see Mr. A.F. Jones Asst. Eng. and try to join him in the matter and pay this man some extra for watching company property. Would like your consent to put this man on pay role for reasonable sum. Mr. [Stiles?] who is here and will take this in can explain to you better than I could in writing. Yours truly JKW Bracken Agent
