    1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 repairing and replacing water pipe line* and appurtenances under and along said easement strips* Grantee, its successors and as­signs # shall have reasonable access within said easement strips for said purposes* but at their sole cost and expense shall be re­quired to take such steps as are required by sound engineering practice to support said railroad tracks and appurtenant facili­ties* prevent damage thereto or interruption of service thereover* Except in the case of emergency Grantor, its successors and assigns* shall not be entitled to make excavations upon said easement strips which might endanger the water pipe lines and ap­purtenances therein of the grantee* its successors and assigns*or to remove or disturb any such water pipe lines and appurtenances for the purpose of constructing* maintaining, operating, repairing or replacing said railroad tracks or railroad operating facilities until after hours* notice to the Grantee, its successors and as­signs | and in the case of emergency immediate notice of such work shall be given to the agents or employees of the Grantee, its suc­cessors and assigns* who can be found nearest to the point of workj and provided further that Grantor* its successors and assigns shall not be entitled to teuporarily remove or disturb any such water pipe lines or appurtenances in connection with the performance of such work by Grantor* its successors and assigns, unless and until Grantor shall have taken such steps as are required by sound engin­eering practice to provide during said temporary period a substi­tute pipe line for the pipe line so removed or disturbed.
