May 13, 1944 Mr. A. C. Grant, Secretary Housing Authority of Clark County, Nevada P.Q. Sox 38 Henderson, Nevada Dear Sirs Acknowledging your letter of May 11, regarding water bills for Army Housing project for the month of April. We had our service man check over the meter today and it appears to be operating properly, The meter reading today Indicates some 273,000 cubic feet of water has been used thus far during May, and we checked over the tract to determine the cause. We noted quite a few of the overflow pipes running full blast from coolers on roofs of houses in the orglnal project. We have also made a study of consumption by months so far this year to determine the amount of water consumed per house and it shows the following tabulation! Meter No. 1 Meter No. 2 n cu. fi. Cost Per House c s T w : . Cost rW , 6 0 6 '—7 0 5 ---- ------ Per house 110,640 l o r ' . 00' 115,904 92.7? .74 129.409 103.53 .63 243,401 194.72 1. 56 203.924 163.14 .99 580.743 495,39 3.96 249.423 199.54 1.22 Xou will note that the average rating per house is only #2,0?, which is not excessive for this time of year and while It is true the bill for April 1943 was 301.14, the bill of May 1943 was 510.50 so that it would appear the Jfcpril reading was not out of line for this time of year. lours very truly,
