POINTS AGAINST INSTALLING TURBINE PUMPS 1. The greater portion of the year it will not be necessary to operate the pumps in these four wells. Turbine pumps will retard the free flow of wells to some extent. However, if desired, pumps could be removed from wells in a few hours, motor, columns and bowls could be stored and again Installed in the wells at beginning of hot weather. This expense of removing and replacing would be very minor. POINTS IN FAVOR OF INSTALLING CENTRIFUGAL PUMPS 1 . When pumps not operating, free flow of well would not be affected. POINTS AGAINST INSTALLING CENTRIFUGAL PUMPS 1. Cost more than turbine pump installations. 2. Require housing over pumps. 3 . All connections, valves on the well layout must be air tight and no leaks. k. If water level in well drops appreciably, pumps will not produce water. 5 5 . Delivery 3 to 5 months after reoeipt of order.
