Las Vegas - March 13, 1945 W 1-7-2 « Mr. R. M. Sutton: Referring to your Form 215 February 16 listing unpaid water services and room rentals. Service 2529, R. I„. Nunley, covers service to HFM&M Block 21 Lot 1 located at the corner of 6. and Monroe Streets for May - September at 1.50 per month. I looked over this location and find that the cabins have been entirely moved and the lot cleared off. The owner has departed for parts unknown and I see no prospects of collecting the bill. The water has, of course, be shut off. X recommend that the item of |7.50 be charged off. Service 2677, Mae Stone, covers service to HFM&M Block 20 Lot 10 accrued for July - October at $1.50 per month. Service has been discontinued since October 23 for nonpayment of bill. In looking over this location yesterday I find a small shack with a sign on the door "BarbecueNeighbors advise that Miss stone intended to open a Barbecue Restaurant here but never quite got around to do so and has now left the community. I recommend $6.00 be charged off, as it is pointless to carry the item in our accounts from month to month. Room 33, L. 3. Bowman, $5.00 for April, 1944: Timekeeping Bureau advises that they will credit this amount in first half March. Room 41, p. J. Kllewer, $6.00 for August, 1944. Timekeeping advises Kllewer was dismissed from service in August laet year and I do not see any prospects of collection. I recommend the item be charged off. Room 48, Carl Groff, #7.50 for April 1944. Groff was employed as extra laborer and has left the service. Present whereabouts are unknown. I recommend the item be charged off.. W&L?Sr ”R. BRACK£N ces Mr. L. A. McNamee I concur in the above recommendations. GENERAL AfTORNlf
