Bates) The p r o p o s e d E s c r o w Instructions between the Railroads, the W a t e r Comp a n y and the Las Vegas W a ­ter District f o r the sale of the Las Vegas water system to the District provide that the w a t e r s y s ­t e m shall be conveyed to the District u p o n the sale date subject to state, county and city taxes for the year 195^* but that all similar taxes for years p r i o r thereto have been paid. I u n d e r s t a n d that the fourth installment of 1953 taxes would not n o r m a l l y be p a i d until some time after July 1st, which is the present tentative closing date f o r the escrow. So that we can comply w i t h the E s c r o w Instructions will you please authorize Mr. Bates to p a y p r i o r to the close of escrow all u n ­p a i d 1 9 5 3 taxes upon the p r o p e r t y to be conveyed to the District in the escrow.
