The percussion section of March Air Force Base band performs at a Nellis Air Force Base (Nevada) open house event. A bass drum bears the legend "15th U.S. Air Force Band, March Air Force Base, California." The 15th U.S. Air Force Band was its title between 1965-1991, when it became known as the 15th Air Force Band of the Golden West; in 1997 it became known as the United States Air Force Band of the Golden West.
