Tuesday, April 6th, you are asked to re-elect or elect the membership of the Las Vegas Valley Water District Board of Directors. Your vote is an expression of confidence in the Districts program and the men who are giving their time to administer this important pro.iect. EXPRESS YOUR VOTE OF CONFIDENCE BY VOTING TUESDAY. APRIL 6th. All current members of the Board are not in contest for re-election except Mr. William Coulthard. We, the undersigned, feel that Mr. Coulthard’s re-election is of vital importance to the District. With all deference to his opponent, here are reasons we ask for a specific vote of confi­dence for Mr. Coulthard. 1. Mr. Coulthard, as a member of the State Legislature was instrumental in having the original Enabling Act amraended which made possible the recent Bond Election to bring Lake Mead water to the District. 2. Mr. Coulthard’s activity in the State Legislature im­plemented the passing of the Validating Act which authenti­cated the District’s actions and saved the taxpayers many thousands of dollars and lengthy court action. 3. Mr. Coulthard is a capable, practicing attorney whose knowledge of the law and his intimate experience with the legal phases of the District’s operation has and will be continually valuable to the Board of Directors. 4. Mr. Coulthard’s experience and counsel will be increas­ingly valuable as the District’s program is brought to full reality. Your failure to give your Board of Directors and specifi­cally Mr. Coulthard a vote of confidence at next Tuesday’s (April 6th) election can cause defeat by default.
