Work Order 4707 Los Angeles - January 16th, 1925 Mr. H. C . Mann'- In connection w ith work order 4707, new w e ll and pipe lin e at Las Vegas we ordered 1900-ft. o f 16" wood stave pipe from the P a c ific Tank & Pipe Company* to he used in making connection from the w e ll to the fore-h ay indicated a t statio n 83.76 on p rin t furnished you October 18th. This p rin t is without number but b e lie v e i t was used in making up Budget Item f o r ad d ition al au th ority fo r th is work in 1925. I t is our understanding Budget Item provides fo r 1816-ft.’ 24" wood stave pipe and fo r the re la y in g o f 16" concrete pipe between station s 39 plus 81 and 57 plus 89. With the holding up o f work order 4707 we requested the P a c ific Tank & Pipe Company to hold order fo r the 1900-ft. o f 16" pipe and Store Department is now asking what we intend to do about this order. As pipe has been made up or p a rt ly made up, i t would embarrassing to request c a n cellatio n and am w ritin g you in the b e li e f you may be able to use th is 1900-ft. o f pipe in preparing your work order f o r renewal o f the 1608-ft. o f concrete pipe and shortening up of the 24" wood stave pipe in the amount o f about 3 0 0 -ft. to take care o f our order. This would have the a ff e c t o f g iv in g you about 1500-ft. o f 24" pipe instead o f 1816-ft. $ the balance o f the lin e to be 16".
