September 2, 1966 Mr. A1 Freeman The Sands Hotel Las Vegas, Nevada Dear Al, - \f"vvfjr**f * vt'sv' ?√ß ?╟≤- w I am glad to advise you thatj Sports Illustrated vill cover the Rubber Bridge Tournament next~m6hthV and in addition to doing the story they are actually sending two of the important members of the staff - Ray Cave and Jack Olsen - to enter the event and play in it. / Will you therefore reserve rooms for Mr. & Mrs. Olsen and Mr. & [ Mrs. Cave and acknowledge this reservation directly to them at \ Sprts Illustrated, Time and Life Building, Rockefeller Center, \Ndsw York. They will pay their entry fee on arrival in Las Vegas Steve Becker - who sends his regards - did his best to try to arrange an ad for this tournament in the September Bulletin but until we can behd or somehow get round the present League policy there is a rule against accepting advertisements for Bridge events in which there are high money prizes. One of these days perhaps we can figure some vay to get round that policy* With kindest personal regards?╟≤ p. S. Of course, Freddy Sheinwold was instrumental inaugurating the attempt to interest S. I.. I know he will be delighted with this result and I am sending him a copy of this letter*
