File 60-A Dear Sir*. • The closing paragraph of j| advised yon,on the subject of expen matter up with my secretary, Ross ?« f letter dated November 17th I se account,I would take.this .Smith, on his return'and advise you my decision in the matter. Mr.Smith states to me an* has also shown me sis letter to you dated September 8th, to the effeot that he dia not approve of your going' to Salt lake, as there was no partr- onlar reason why you should go at that time, Also, that things at the ranch were not in condition which you could consistently leave to some one else to looh after. Inasmuch as I can see no particular benefit to the company derived by your, trip, I will have to advise -chat we cannot allow this expense for the month of July. Very truly yours, mMa)J-^ssCLdKK'
