\ Las Vegas - March 30, 1945 W 18-1-12-A Mr. Frank Strong; Your memo March 28 regarding conditions on the Las Vegas Ranch. We conferred with Will Stewart and Chief of Police, Harry Miller, this morning and arranged to have the police officers clean out the hobo nest and demolish the buildings. I have asked Mr. Stewart to keep an eye on this location and let me know if any of them attempt to return. Regarding the substantial dwelling erected on the West side of Noad between North 5th and Biltraore School; This is on the property of the lease to Will Stewart and is included in the Las Vegas Ranch premises. In conversation with Mr. Stewart today he advises the occupant, a Mr. Heaps, is paying him rental each month. WALTER R. BRACKEN
