Tilton, Chief Engineer, Los Angeles* Dear Sir:- £ Replying to your letter p i June 5th submitting bids for a reinforced concrete pipe, and also for a copper-banded redwood pipe, to replace the existing shfeet steel pipe line at Las Vegas, a the Special Committee has decided that we will not undertake the affiaifel work just now but that when the Time comes that a renewal of the existing pipe seems necessary that we will lay a reinforced con­crete pipe, if we can get a contract for it about on the terms and at the price mentioned in your letter. I think it will be at least six months, and possibly a year, before it will be necessary to build a new pipe. Yours truly, cc-Mr. Cullen
